GUILFORD — Talk about a cornucopia of activities.
Along with the farmers’ market and farmhouse tours, the Dudley Farm’s annual Harvest Day celebration will feature demonstrations in whittling, spoon carving, rug hooking, basket making, lace tatting, sauerkraut making, corn grinding, wool spinning and soap making.
Mark Dudley will take the Dudley Farm oxen through their paces, the orange-skinned contestants in the Diane Smith memorial guess-the-weight-of-the-pumpkin competition will display their brimming personality and perfect posture, and the Dudley Farm String Band will pick its way through the day.
Harvest Day will be celebrated from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Dudley Farm, 2351 Durham Road in Guilford. Admission is free. Please bring a donation for Guilford Food Bank.
