If you’re a guitar lover then you don’t want to miss Robert Messore's Fabulous Guitar Night, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 400 Humphrey St., New Haven.

Messore calls it “speed dating” for guitar music as a host of noted guitarists will perform in short, 15 minute segments.

Each year this show features several of the region's best guitarists, each of whom is outstanding in a different genre. Bring a friend or just come and be surrounded by other folks who love to hear guitars played well. At 15-20 minutes per act, it's like speed dating with guitar music.

Featured artists include: Pamela Means (jazz/singer-songwriter); Betsy Rome and Joan Harrison (bluegrass & swing); Lorena Garay and Daniel Salazar (Latin); Judy Handler and Mark Levesque (music from all over Earth); Michael Racine (J.S. Bach to James Brown) and Robert Messore (Celtic.)

Suggested donation $10 plus one item of winter clothing for charity. Doors open at 7 p.m., general admission (no advance ticket sales). For more info call 203-675-3701 and look for Robert Messore's Fabulous Guitar Night on Facebook.

Bring a friend or just come and be surrounded by folks who love to hear guitars played well. As the audience enjoys music and togetherness, they can take a moment to be grateful for all that they have and think of others. Please bring an item of winter clothing for charity, either new or clean and in good condition.
