BRANFORD — While back at work producing masks at her sewing machine for the second wave of the coronavirus, Lucy Camarda, owner of Lucy’s Tailor, remembered one of this season’s most essential workers.
“You can’t be too careful,” said Camarda, who estimates she’s made almost 8,000 masks since the pandemic began.
Lucy’s Tailor is known for its extravagant display of floats marking each holiday.
“She just livens up this part of town,” said Branford’s Leighton Davis, a Lucy’s Tailor regular customer. “This year that’s more important than ever.”
