If you can’t go to the Shubert Theatre in New Haven during holiday season — as many families would in a normal year — you at least can check in virtually.

This special holiday edition of the Shubert’s online series “Next Stop New Haven” will take place live (streamed) Sunday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. You can opt in for the party box of goodies and stay for the 45-minute entertainment.

The fundraising event will be hosted by a special guest from the North Pole, says the Shubert.

“Patrons love the format with the show and the party box,” said official Anthony Lupinacci in an email exchange, “so we wanted to make this one more appealing to families to enjoy with the kids.”

Ticket holders order online and then pick up the party box on the day of the show, curbside at the Shubert. The box will feature holiday cookies, beverages (including a special treat for adults) and other holiday goodies.

Via a provided link, the show will include musical entertainment from a young Broadway star and some surprise guests, says the Shubert, along with Christmas carols and a holiday-themed trivia game and theater-related holiday craft. Tickets (at Shubert.com or 203-562-5666) are $75 for a household with one party box and $125 for a party box with four adults/four children.
