Pink Martini, which produces cool shows of classical, jazz and older pop, brings its 25th anniversary tour to the Shubert Theatre in New Haven Sunday, Sept. 29.

The lush vocals of China Forbes will front Portland, Ore.’s “little orchestra,” led by bandleader and pianist Thomas Lauderdale, who founded the group in 1994.

Joining Pink Martini this time will be Australian-born actress, dancer and cabaret performer Melissa Madden Gray, whose stage name is Meow Meow and who is also known as the Queen of Chandon and described as a crowd-surfing tragi-comedienne.

She will perform a handful from the recently released “Hotel Amour,” backed by Pink Martini and featuring journeys into the French, German and Shanghainese canon of the 20th century.

The singer Storm Large, who has performed with Pink Martini, by the way, will be featured at Wall Street Theatre in Norwalk Friday, Sept. 27, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $22-$49.
