Consign or donate your stuff to Saybrook Historical Society auction

Last year’s auction shows a packed house.

OLD SAYBROOK — “Downsize now” is the call from the Old Saybrook Historical Society as they prepare for their annual “Antiques & Treasures Auction” June 1.

Check your attic, the basement, your jewelry box, back of the closets, the garden shed and turn those unwanted items into cold, hard cash.

Quality items are now being accepted for the auction, with sellers receiving up to 80 percent of the selling price with the remainder going to support Historical Society programs.

Intake of consigned and/or donated items takes place throughout May. Individuals wishing to place their quality items at auction may bring them to the Old Saybrook Shopping Center, 350 Elm St. where volunteers will be available to evaluate and accept items.

The dates and hours for consigning items are: Saturdays, May 4 and 11 from 2 – 4 p.m.

Additional drop-off dates and times are Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 and 25 from 3 – 5 p.m.

For further information or to schedule item pickups, call or text Karen at 860-662-0245.
