Guilford company working feverishly to manufacture ventilators for coronavirus patients

Guilford, Connecticut - Thursday, March 19, 2020: Soan (CQ) Rosario a mechanical assembler in training, left, and mentor Bob Maars, a mechanical assembler, both employees of Bio-Med Devices of Guilford, assemble a Bio-Med CrossVent (CQ) ventilator. Bio-Med Devices manufactures compact and portable battery operated ventilators and Air/Oxygen Blenders that are used in hospitals, emergency medical transport helicopters and ambulances. Ventilators and Air/Oxygen Blenders are in huge demand around the world and Bio-Med Devices is operating 7-days a week and working overtime on weekends trying to meet the demand during the Coronavirus / Covid-19 emergency. Accessibility to parts and raw materials will be a concern as the demand for ventilators continues to mount.
