With the holiday season coming upon us, we are looking for a way to help more people. Every day we receive 20 to 30 phone calls a day asking for help with spaying/neutering and vaccinating their animals.
Some people calling have fallen on hard times because of illnesses like cancer, foreclosure of their home, or a loss of job. They just can’t afford the additional cost of spaying or neutering.
We have teamed up with Madison Vet Hospital in Madison, Madison Veterinary Hospital, Lakes Vet Hospital in Branford and Pieper Veterinary in Middletown, to help spay/neuter, microchip, provide a wellness check up and vaccinate people’s animals at NO COST to the pet owner.
Once animals are spayed and neutered, behaviors that some consider “undesirable” tend to settle down. Things like humping, peeing in the house, digging under fences to find a mate etc. We are hoping this will help animals to stay in homes instead of being given up. And the added bonus is healthier, happier, and more vaccinated animals.
So what do you have to do if you want to be considered? Email us with your story and why you should be considered for this program. This program is open to any Connecticut resident. Tell us your stories and we will pick 75 people/pets ( dogs, cats or bunnies) to help. You can live anywhere in Connecticut to be eligible. Email Laura or Amber at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. If you have questions email Laura at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Here is Shay. She is about 3-4 years old. She likes children she has met at the shelter and other dogs. She loves to smile, get belly rubs and go for walks. She is lower energy level dog and is just happy being with people. With her sweet disposition and sunny nature she would make a great family member for lots of different people!
