Branford HOF dinner cancelled

Bob DuPuy, former Chief Operating Officer for Major League Baseball, was inducted in 2009 to the Branford Hall of Fame.

The 33rd Annual Branford Sports Hall of Fame Dinner which was scheduled for November 20 has been cancelled.

The dinner has been a popular town event each year since it was started in 1988. Over the years 296 residents have been honored and the dinner has averaged between 300-400 in attendance each year.

“Like so many other town activities the covid has sadly caused us to cancel this years dinner,” Chairman Bill O’Brien said. “We are planning to be back in 2021 and will honor more outstanding individuals that have brought honor and distinction to Branford over the years.”
